Old Terminal Building Set for Demolition Kick-Off Ceremony Tomorrow

Avoca, PA – As Northeastern Pennsylvania continues to grow, so does its airport.

Over the past decade, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport has built a new terminal and it’s finally time to say goodbye to the old one. But the vision for the airport’s future is forcing it to say goodbye to part of its past.

A kick-off demolition ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 18th, at approximately 11:00 AM.

Media personnel are asked to join Airport Officials near Gate 18, which is in between the old Terminal Building and the Airport Fire House.
