AVP Media Advisory

flyAVP

Avoca, PA (March 16, 2020) – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP) is fully operational and running regular schedules at this time. If this changes, AVP will alert the media and put notifications on our social media portals, including the AVP website, flyAVP app, Facebook and Twitter.

AVP Management wants to reassure all passengers that our maintenance staff is taking extra measures to sanitize the Terminal Building. High touch areas, such as handrails, bathrooms and seating, are targeted for additional cleaning.

AVP Management urges its passengers and visitors, Airport employees, tenant employees and volunteers that routine hygiene procedures should be emphasized during this time. For more information, please visit the AVP website (flyAVP.com), which has a direct link to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There, you can find information that outlines the prevention and treatment options currently available.

AVP Management will continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation regarding COVID-19 and provide regular updates to our community, staff and volunteers as information from the CDC becomes available.

Please note this matter is evolving and subject to change per CDC guidance, and we will keep you posted.
