TSA Pre-Check “In-Journey” Enrollment Pilot Program and Traditional “Pop-Up” Enrollment Program Underway at AVP

Avoca, PA (December 9, 2019) – If you’re not currently a TSA pre-check member, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport is hosting a special pilot program for passengers to enroll at the Airport for the next two weeks.

According to AVP, the purpose of the pilot program is to make Pre-Check enrollment easier and faster for passengers. The enrollment process takes only a few minutes and costs the same as if someone went to an enrollment center. No reservations are needed.

The pilot program is currently be held this week (December 9th-December 13th) from 5:30 AM-1:30 PM each day, and is located just before entering the TSA Security Checkpoint.  Next week (December 16th-December 20th), the hours will be from 4:30 AM-12:30 PM, and will be located past the TSA Security Checkpoint, near Lucky’s Craft Food and Drink.

In addition, AVP is hosting a traditional “pop-up” event in the Joseph M. McDade Terminal Building this week, Monday, December 9th through Friday, December 13th. This location is located just before entering the TSA Security Checkpoint. Hours are 7:30 AM-1:30 PM each day.
